VISION

The idea for Transatlantic Sound started when its founder, Amelia Ideh, was working as a Creative Producer at a London-based artist development organisation. The organisation lost its funding but Amelia had committed to supporting and developing opportunities for artists and wasn’t about to stop. Transatlantic Sound sound pulls together her contacts and experience from working in artist development, arts marketing, fundraising, music PR, running a music blog, and event production and promotion.

We began in 2008 after a period of research and consultation, the outcomes of which gave us the understanding that many of the artists we spoke to felt one of their biggest challenges was breaking through and making their presence known - particularly on an international platform. Transatlantic Sound is committed to opening doors and generating opportunities for talented artists and creatives.

Transatlantic Sound is a music consultancy specializing in integrated marketing & PR, events and artist development. We work closely with our clients to create customized, research-based, holistic and effective campaigns that generate opportunities, not lists. What makes us unique is our genuine passion for every project we take on – that means a personal approach both when working with our clients, and with the tastemakers we encourage to support them.

Often companies talk vaguely about being “innovative and forward thinking”. Research is at the core of Transatlantic Sounds’ practice – the process for every project we take on is: research, setting objectives, creating and executing a strategy, and evaluation. This allows us to constantly evolve in line with a rapidly changing industry, and we spend long nights digging in to media futures, emerging markets, tastemakers, and various other nerdy subjects. Our aim is to develop markets for our clients, so we think large, laterally and long term.
